Claire L. (Faucher) Lesnyk, 90, formerly of Manchester, died September 26, 2024 at Hillsborough County Nursing Home in Goffstown after a period of declining health.
She was born in Manchester on November 13, 1933 to Emile and Germaine (Simard) Faucher. She was a lifelong resident of Manchester before moving to Goffstown three years ago.
Claire worked at Catholic Medical Center for 17 years, preparing functions for doctors and staff. She served as president of the Ladies of St. Anne at Ste. Marie Parish in Manchester and had been a member of Post 1749 Catholic War Veterans Ladies Auxiliary.
She enjoyed spending time at the Cashin Senior Center and her favorite pastime was spending summer days in Barnstead on Suncook Lake with family listening to the Loons. She also volunteered at the Animal Allies Organization and at Wednesday night Bingo.
Claire was predeceased by her husband of nearly 51 years, Philippe Lesnyk in 2003 and two siblings, Juliette Boisvert and Bertrand Faucher.
She is survived by six children, Danielle Dooly and her husband, Michael, Michael Lesnyk and his wife, Jean, Charlene Sullivan and her husband, John, Mark Lesnyk and his wife, Susan, Ann Marie Woodlock and her husband, James and John Lesnyk; five grandchildren, Sara Bernard and her husband, Kevin, Beth Dooly, Ashley Dooly, Nicole Lesnyk Couch and Katherine Lesnyk; a step-grandchild, Tina Cere Lemay and her husband, Brian; six great grandchildren, Connor Bernard, Ryan Bernard, Robert Robinson, Piper Ott, Cillian Dooly and Niall Dooly; two sisters, Madeleine Bilodeau and her husband, Richard and Marcelle Duval and her husband, Vincent; and nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Hillsborough County Nursing Home for the care and kindness they provided to Claire.
SERVICES: There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday (10/2) at 10 a.m. at Ste. Marie Church, 378 Notre Dame Ave., Manchester. Committal prayers will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Manchester Animal Shelter, 490 Dunbarton Rd., Manchester.
Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, Manchester is assisting the family with arrangements.
