Claire (Lauzon) Martineau, 91 of Manchester, NH passed away at Merrimack Community Hospice House on September 26, 2025 surrounded by her loving family and will be missed more than words can express.
Born on May 17, 1934, Claire was the daughter of the late Joseph and Louise (Plouffe) Lauzon. Claire was a graduate of St. Marie’s High School and was a lifelong resident of the Queen City. She worked in the Amoskeag Mills for many years and for Velcro for 15 years before retiring in 1996.
Claire was dedicated to her faith and was an active member of Blessed Sacrament Church. She was a very kind, thoughtful, loving and social person. She was selfless and always put others first. After her retirement, Claire stayed active with the things that she most enjoyed such as knitting scarves for the homeless and spending time with her grandchildren. She was very brave and strong, a true fighter. Above all else, she will be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Claire was predeceased by her beloved husband of 66 years, Peter R. Martineau who passed away in 2023.
Surviving family members include her daughter Linda Martineau and her son Zachary Dudek; her son Dan Martineau and his children Colby and Careena; and her sister, Rita Beaupre.
She will be missed so deeply by her family and they would like to thank the staff of Merrimack Community Hospice House for their care and compassion.
There will be no services. Claire will be interred with her husband Peter at 1:00pm on Thursday, October 2nd at NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH. Lambert Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Hospice House, 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, NH 03504 or to Alzheimer’s Association NH Chapter, 1 Bedford St., Manchester, NH 03101.
