Claire Louise Palmer, 79, died Jan. 24, 2021, at Blue Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center in Stoughton, MA following a brief illness.
She was born in Chicago, IL on July 17, 1941 to Earl Palmer and Alicia Desmarais. She resided in Manchester from birth through graduation at Manchester High School West on June 11, 1959. She spent the rest of her life working in various jobs within the Boston area specializing primarily in accounting work.
Investing to further her knowledge base, on June 1, 1985, Claire graduated with honors from Quincy Junior College in Quincy, MA with an Associate degree in Science.
Claire was a popular, gifted artist producing many beautiful natural works in pastels and water colors that found their way into many homes and business suites. She was active in several local art organizations in the Boston area, winning prizes for her natural ability to capture in detail pastoral scenes and sitting subjects.
The family includes two brothers and a sister, Donald Palmer and his wife, Lizzie, of Madison, AL, Marcelle Bryant of Rochester and Robert Palmer (pre-deceased); close relatives include several nieces, nephews and cousins residing in the U.S. and overseas; locally Uncle Jerry and Aunt Madeleine Morin of Manchester.
SERVICES: There are no calling hours. Private interment is at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Manchester at the convenience of the family.
