Claire G. Ridge, 96, of Goffstown, died December 22, 2024 at Hillsborough County Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Manchester on October 24, 1928, she was the daughter of the late John and Yvonne (Montmarquette) LePage. She was a graduate of Central High School and a lifelong resident of the Queen City.
Claire dedicated her life to her family. She enjoyed time spent at YWCA where she received the President’s Award for swimming. She also enjoyed time spent at her cottage at Lake Winnipesaukee. She loved her dog Sid and her cat Simon. She loved to sing; her favorite song was “Crazy” by Patsy Cline. Above all else, she will be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend.
Claire was predeceased by her husband of 69 years, Gordon H. Ridge in 2019; and her grandson Gene Burkush in 1998.
Surviving family members include her son Brian Ridge and his wife Susan of New Boston; her daughter Lois Burkush and her husband John; four grandchildren, Sarah Eastman, Jennifer Enman, Katie Frigon and Michael Burkush; and four great grandchildren, Connor and Aidan Eastman, and Emmett and Cora Frigon. She was also predeceased by siblings Annette Pinard, Juliette Lamontagne, Jean LePage, Caroline Gladu, Lovy Poulin and Paul LePage.
SERVICES: Calling hours are Friday from 10am to noon, with a funeral service beginning promptly at noon at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North St., Manchester, NH 03104. Committal prayers to follow in the mausoleum at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
