Claire M. Sullivan

Claire M. (Richards) Sullivan, 90, formerly of 763 Maple St., Manchester died March 20, 2009 at Hillcrest Terrace after a brief illness.

Born in Manchester on July 17, 1918, she was the daughter of Eugene and Rose (Rivard) Richards. She was a lifelong resident of Manchester.

Along with her husband, Charles B. Sullivan Sr., who died in 1984, she was the co-founder of C.B.Sullivan Company in Manchester and served as its president for many years. She remained active in the family business until her death.

Mrs. Sullivan was actively involved with the Precious Blood Monastery and at Hillcrest Terrace. She was also active in the lives of her children and grandchildren.

The family includes five children, C.B. Sullivan Jr. of Gilford, Donna M. Lewis of Auburn, Richard T. Sullivan of Manchester, Jeffrey P. Sullivan of Auburn and Mark A. Sullivan of Exeter; 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; cousins, niece and nephews.

IN HER LIFE: Mrs. Sullivan was very proud that all her children continue to work harmoniously in keeping C.B. Sullivan Company a family business.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at St. Catherine Church, corner of Webster and Hemlock streets, Manchester. Committal prayers followed at St. Augustin Cemetery, South Beech St., Manchester.
