With great sadness the family of Claude F. Lamoureux announce his passing. Described as a very kind and gentle man, he was very dedicated to his family and Catholic faith. Claude was 83 years old and died on January 5, 2024. His medical issues in recent years showed his courage in facing life’s challenges with a smile. He was brave and stayed positive until the end.
Born in Coaticook, Quebec, Canada on November 14, 1940, he was the only child of Leonard and Marguerite Lamoureux. He lived in Bedford, NH for the last 42 years.
Claude earned an Associate degree from Oblate Seminary in Bar Harbor, ME. He worked at Sears for 35 years and retired as sales manager. After his early retirement, he worked at Scudder Kemper Investments for five years. Claude had a strong work ethic and made sure he followed through on everything. He loved the outdoors including hunting, fishing and gardening and was a fine craftsman, making items for his home and family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Gloria (Ouellette) Lamoureux of Bedford; two daughters, Melanie and her husband, James Maggiore, of North Hampton and Amy and her husband, Timothy Lessard, of North Berwick, ME; five grandchildren, Cassandra, Josephina and Matthew Maggiore, Autumn and Benjamin Lessard; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Claude was a dedicated husband, father, co-worker and friend. His humor and “swiss cheese” way of thinking will be greatly missed.
