Cleo B. Robert, 99, of Milford, NH, formerly of Hillsborough, Manchester and Concord, NH died May 22, 2021 at the Maple Leaf Healthcare Center, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Manchester, NH on January 15, 1922 she was the daughter of Charles and Lumina (Martin) Labelle. She attended Manchester elementary schools and was a graduate of Central High School.
Cleo had many joys in life: her faith, her family, her beloved pets Princess, Pudding and Oliver, her hair, making sure the heat was always above 75, chocolates and chatting. She was an avid shopper, interior decorator, defender of good taste, and unrestrained critic of what wasn't. Cleo loved winters in Florida and summers at Terrace Pines in Ossipee, NH, paddling her canoe along the lakeshore. While tiny in size, Cleo will always be remembered for her resilience in the face of suffering and her quiet confidence that, in spite of it, the Lord works all things for the good of those who love him.
She is predeceased by her husband Paul R. Robert (2009); her son, Gary Robert; a granddaughter, Jessica Robert; a brother, Roger Labelle; a sister Marcelle Emery; and two sons-in-law: Douglas James and Edward Goudreau.
Surviving family members include a son Justin Robert and his wife Louise of Naples, FL; two daughters, Brenda Goudreau of Naples, FL and Paula James and her husband Tom Placencia of Milford, NH; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Wednesday morning from 9 to 11:30 am at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, corner of North St, Manchester, NH. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at noon at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 225 Hemlock St., Manchester, NH 03104. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester, NH.
