Clyde M. Daggett

April 26, 1936 — February 9, 2009

Clyde M. Daggett, died, Feb 9, 2009 after an extended battle with Amyloidosis of the Primary AL type. He was born in Lubec, Maine, April 26, 1936. He graduated from Houlton High School, attended Aroostook Teachers College and graduated from David Lipscomb College with a BA degree in Biology. He worked at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH for 36 years, being the Chief Medical Technologist of the laboratory for 30 of those years.

He started going to Guyana, South America in 1997 on Medical Missions and went every year through 2007. He encouraged many adults and teenagers to go many times during that period. He went to Cambodia three times, doing laboratory work for the medical missions. He served Gander Brook Christian Camp in Raymond, ME for over 40 years. He was a member of the Manchester Church of Christ and served as Elder for 10 years.

He was an avid wood turner, attending many craft shows and giving many items to individuals and charities.

He loved to fish and hunt. He and Lucy learned to ski at the age of 35 and enjoyed it for many years.

The family includes his wife, Lucille, of Auburn; three children, Susan Welker and her husband, Alan, of Murfreesboro, TN; Shawn Daggett and his wife, Donna of Searcy, Arkansas; and Zane Daggett and his wife, Kim, of Hooksett, NH. He had 11 grandchildren, Seth Daggett and his wife Rebekah, Jeremy Daggett and his bride to be, Katie Copeland, Rebecca, Kenna, Dillon, Mariah, Zachary, Kaylee and Kara Daggett; John and Jill Welker. A sister, Gail Hand of Houlton, ME, Lorraine Esh of Bennington, VT, Karl and Charles Daggett of Meriden, CT; two nieces and five nephews.

A memorial service was held Friday, February 13, 2009 at the Manchester Church of Christ, 66 Mammoth Road, Manchester, NH followed by a luncheon and fellowship.
