Colbert H. Wood

Born in Newport, VT on August 14, 1930, he was the son of Wilfrid and Goldie (Drown) Wood.

Mr. Wood was a graduate of Burlington (VT) Business College. He worked as a building products buyer at Diamond International for 30 years and at Rugby Building Products for 10 years.

He was an avid golfer and was a member of the Orleans (VT) Country Club. He was also a member of the Westmore United Church of Christ.

The family includes his wife of 53 years, Joan M. (Bruce) Wood of Goffstown and Westmore, VT; three children, Martin B. Wood of Wilton, Jayne M. Hiltz of Goffstown and Eric R. Wood of Weare; six grandchildren; a sister, Charleen Bronson of Morgan, VT and cousins, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held Saturday May 26, 2007 at Westmore United Church of Christ, 27 Hilton Hill Rd., Orleans, VT.
