Colette M. Mara, "Bert", 59, of Manchester, died peacefully, after a 20 year courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis and in the past year cancer, on October 6, 2018 at Community Hospice House, Merrimack, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Manchester on May 21, 1959, she was the daughter of the late Lucien and Yvette (Belair) Lambert. Colette was a graduate of West High School in Manchester and worked at Catholic Medical Center for 42 years as a Dietary Department Assistant.
Colette was a special person. Her passion was her family, mainly her grandchildren. She was a sun worshiper who loved to spend time at the beach. She was an incredibly compassionate, loyal, selfless and humble person who everyone adored. Throughout her life, Colette was an extremely hard worker. She was courageous, had a relentless passion for life and always demonstrated endless amounts of fight and drive. She was a truly remarkable person who has made a lasting impression and impact on everyone who has been a part of her life. She was loved, respected, admired and cared for by all. Above all, she will be forever remembered as a loving wife, mother, stepmother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
Family includes her husband of 34 years, Michael Mara of Manchester; two daughters, Krista LaBonte and husband, Nathan, of Bedford and Jenna Lodi and husband, Bryan, of Manchester; two stepchildren, Melissa Coad and husband, Eddie, of Casselberry, FL, and Matthew Mara and wife, Jennifer, of Winter Springs, FL; nine grandchildren, Benjamin and Olivia LaBonte, Wyatt, Cole and Chance Lodi, Hailey and Emiley Coad, and Chloe and Caleb Mara; two brothers, Ronald Lambert and wife, Mary, of Utah and Richard Lambert and wife, Carolyn, of Litchfield; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Ste. Marie Church, 378 Notre Dame Ave., Manchester.
