Colette R. (Turmel) Roy, 100, of Goffstown, died October 10, 2016 at Hillsborough County Nursing Home after a brief illness.
She was born in Manchester on July 27, 1916 to Herve and Albertine (Martin) Turmel. She lived in Goffstown for most of her life.
Collette worked at several Manchester area shoe companies, including Gutman-Kessler Shoe Company, for many years.
She enjoyed playing cards and crocheting and had crocheted hats for newborn infants for local area hospitals.
She was predeceased by her husband, Felix Roy in 1968; a son, Roger Roy in 1998; a granddaughter, Lisa Whitcomb in 1968; and two siblings, Roland Turmel and Annette Charron.
The family includes three daughters, Pauline Henault and her husband, Ronald, of Goffstown, Stella Parrott and her husband, Bert, of Northwood and Susan Bailey and her husband, Ralph, of Goffstown; a daughter-in-law, Rachel Cotton of Raymond; 12 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; and nephews and nieces.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Parish of the Transfiguration, 305 Kelley St., Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hillsborough County Nursing Home, 400 Mast Rd., Goffstown, NH 03045
