Collette I. Grenon

She was born in Nashua August 5, 1918 and was the daughter of Joseph and Eva (Gamache) Morin. She resided in Bedford for the past 36 years and previously lived in Manchester. In addition she had wintered in Bradenton, FL for 30 years.

Collette was a beautician who practiced her trade in the early 1930's. In the late 1950's she was employed by A.J. Houle's Wig World.

Mrs. Grenon took great joy being with family and her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her interests included crafts and doll making. Numerous pieces, especially dolls, were donated to her many friends and relatives. She enjoyed photo collecting and has many photos dating back to the early 1920's. Playing cards and the ukulele were her passion. Her "French Recipe" collection has been shared by many and passed down to her children.

She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Seton Church, Bedford.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Adrien O. Poisson who died in 1955, and a brother, Maurice Morin.

She leaves her husband of 36 years, Leopold J. Grenon of Bedford; three daughters, Claudette Leonard and her husband, Paul, of Bedford, Constance Cameron of Port Orange, FL, and Joanne S. Grenon and her husband, Normand, of Merrimack; two sons, Norman Poisson of Manchester and David "Fish" Poisson of Amherst; 4 step children, Muriel Williams and her husband, Douglas, of Manchester, Priscilla Grenon of Thetford Mines, Que., Normand Grenon and his wife, Joanne, of Merrimack, and Dennis Grenon of Manchester; 20 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Norman Morin of Roy, WA and Gerald Morin and his wife, Leona, of Nashua; several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, Bedford. Burial was in St. Augustin Cemetery, Manchester, at the convenience of the family.
