Conrad E. Fortin

Conrad E. Fortin, 67, of Epsom died September 5, 2003 in Concord Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Manchester on February 18, 1936, he was the son of Edmond and Germaine (Baril) Fortin. He lived in Manchester many years before moving to Epsom 26 years ago.

He was a graduate of St. Anselm College and later earned a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies at Boston University.

Mr. Fortin was an administrator and teacher in the Manchester School System for 39 years. He was a member and former president of the Manchester Education Association. He was also a member of the New Hampshire Education Association, the National Education Association and the Derryfield Country Club.

The family includes his wife of 25 years, Kathleen A. (Curran) Fortin of Epsom; three children, Ellen C. McGovern of Hooksett, Mark C. Fortin of Bedford and Kathleen M. Johnson of Galloway, NJ; nine grandchildren and nieces.

A memorial mass of Christian burial was celebrated Tuesday September 9, 2003 in St. Joseph Cathedral, corner of Pine and Lowell streets, Manchester.
