Constance J. Plante, 84, of Manchester, died September 28, 2020 after a brief illness surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Franklin, NH on December 22, 1935, she was the daughter of Edward and Rose (Constant) Jalbert.
Prior to raising her family, she had worked as a teller for Amoskeag Bank for several years.
Constance was a longtime communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Parish.
She was a wife, a mother, and a doting grandmother. She enjoyed working on the daily newspaper crossword puzzle, word searches, reading (her favorite author was James Patterson), watching the "Price is Right", "Dancing With the Stars" and made sure not to miss a single episode of her favorite "soap" "Days of Our Lives". She cooked a mean pot roast (always a hit with the family), and grilled cheese sandwiches "just right" for her grandkids. She was a devoted cat "mom" to any feline her youngest son would bring home. She was loving and patient, always there when we needed her, and basically the anchor of our family.
Family members include her husband of 60 years, Guy G. Plante of Manchester; her children, Michele Dumas and husband Robert and their children Lynne and Nicole of Manchester, Denis Plante and wife Donna and their daughter Amanda and husband Kevin Stein, all of Florida, Renee Reed and husband David and their children Haley and Andrew of Goffstown, and Marc Plante of Manchester.
Services will be private at the family's request.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Home Health & Hospice Care, Community Hospice House, 210 Naticook Road, Merrimack, NH 03054 or to the NH Humane Society, 1305 Meredith Center Road, Laconia, NH 03246.
