Constance A. (Demers) Smillie, 81, of Nashua died July 24, 2006 at her residence after a brief illness.
Born in Manchester on November 19, 1924, she was the daughter of Wilfred and Diana (Rivard) Demers. She lived in Manchester most of her life and in Nashua for the past three years.
Mrs. Smillie worked at New England Telephone Company for many years and retired as an accounting supervisor. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and a longtime communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church in Manchester.
The family includes three children, Stephen Smillie of Peterborough, Mary Pitanis of Bedford and Billy Smillie of Chester; four grandchildren; two brothers, Armand Demers of Goffstown and Robert Demers of Canaan; a sister, Cecile Demers of Westford, MA; cousins, nieces and nephews.
IN HER LIFE: She was predeceased by a sister, Dorianne Filipowicz and a brother, Paul Demers.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Friday July 28, 2006 in Blessed Sacrament Church, 14 So. Elm St., Manchester. Committal prayers followed in Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester. Burial was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
