Constance G. VanDenBerghe

Constance Gabrielle "Connie" VanDenBerghe, 84, of Manchester, died peacefully on January 4, 2021 at Maple Leaf Health Care Center, where she had the chance to see all her loving family and say goodbye.

Born in Manchester on September 29, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Omer W. and Therese A. (Dion) Soucy. She was a graduate of the Villa Augustina Academy in Goffstown and Ste. Marie High School in Manchester.

She is predeceased by her husband, Ferdinand W. "Pete" VanDenBerghe, and later, her companion, Edward "O'B" O'Brien.

Connie was a fixture in the Manchester restaurant industry having worked at many of the finest establishments in the area over a 30-year career. She was energetic, enthusiastic, extremely compassionate, and made friends easily. In retirement, she bartended at the Lafayette Club as a way of staying engaged and connected to her many friends.

She enjoyed knitting, playing bingo, and was active within the Maple Leaf Health Care residential community where she will be deeply missed.

Surviving family members include her four children, Donald F. VanDenBerghe and his wife, Paula, of Manchester, Mark W. VanDenBerghe and his wife, Kerrie, of Pasadena MD, Karen E. Hauschild of Concord and Peter J. VanDenBerghe and his wife, Steff, of Suwanee GA; eight grandchildren, Margot, Phillip, and Ian VanDenBerghe, Colin and Erik VanDenBerghe, Matthew and Lauren Hauschild, and Gabriella VanDenBerghe; two great-grandchildren, Luke Kramer and Macie Call; one sister, Lorraine Therrien and her niece and nephew, Diane (Therrien) Lamper and Steve Therrien.

SERVICES: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday (7/9/2021) at 10 a.m. at Ste. Marie Church, 378 Notre Dame Ave., Manchester. Committal prayers will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.

Memorial donations may be made in Connie's memory to Waypoint NH Services at www.waypoint.networkforgood.com. Waypoint is an independent non-profit and charitable organization for woman, children and families.
