Corinne M. (Corky) Lafond, 71, of Manchester, died April 13, 2006 at the Catholic Medical Center after a courageous battle with leukemia.
She was born in Manchester N.H., on March 7, 1935, the daughter of Edward and Yvonne (Dionne) Dunn. She worked as a manager for Happy House Pizza for many years and also the Felton Brush Co. until her retirement.
She was a communicant of St. Catherine Church. She loved spending her time with her family and very dear friends. She enjoyed her grandchildren, and time with her special grandchild Mackenzie.
The family includes her husband of 25 years Harold Lafond of Manchester; 2 sons, Steven Scholes of Loudon, N.H., and Michael Scholes of Ellsworth, Maine; 2 daughters, Susan (Scholes) Duval of Goffstown and Linda (Scholes) Duval also of Goffstown; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Other family members include her step-children, Pauline Begin of Newport, N.H., Richard Lafond of Florida, Donald Lafond of Manchester N.H., and Theresa Tyeryar of Maryland; several step-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday April 18, 2006 at St. Catherine Church at 9am. Urn burial took place on Wednesday April 19, 2006 at the N.H. State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, N.H.
