Cory A. Lindsey

Cory A. Lindsey, 53, of Bedford, NH, died December 19, 2004 at the Elliot Hospital.

He was born in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, August 4, 1951, the son of Roderick and Florence McNeil. At the age of 4, he was adopted by Richard and Doris Lindsey. He lived in Somerville, MA until moving to Goffstown in 1968. He attended Goffstown High School.

From 1970 to 1975, he served in the US Air Force. During the Vietnam era, he spent a three-year tour of duty in Germany. He joined the US Army Reserves in 1977 and served until 2000, attaining the rank of MSG (E-8).

Mr. Lindsey was employed at the VA Medical Center in Manchester for 4 years as a nursing assistant. He later worked for the US Army as an administrative assistant for 26 years, until illness forced him into retirement.

He was past-president, past Lt. governor, and life member of the Pinardville Optimist Club. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus 5112.

He was a parishioner and eucharistic minister at the Parish of the Transfiguration.

He was a beloved husband, father, son, uncle, godfather, and friend.

Members of his family include his wife of 27 years, Diane (Gagnon) Lindsey of Bedford; 2 daughters, Karina Lindsey of Ormond Beach, FL and Jessica Lindsey of Bedford; His mother, Doris Lindsey of Goffstown; 5 sisters, Connie Shibley Zucchi of Montreal, Rodina Wilson of Waltham, MA, Heather Morrison, Linda Bissonnette, and Cynthia Tuttle, all of Goffstown; one brother, Richard Lindsey of Derry, NH; several nephews and nieces.

A mass of Christian burial was celebrated in Parish of the Transfiguration on Thursday December 23, 2004. Burial with full military honors followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
