Cynthia H. (Morse) Burtt, 99, of Birch Hill Terrace, Manchester passed away April 18, 2015 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Lowell, MA on November 29, 1915, the daughter of Walter E. and Helen I. (Barnes) Morse. A 1933 graduate of Lowell High School, she was employed by her father at Morse and Beals, his florist shop in Lowell. She married Albert Burtt in 1937. They resided in Norwood, MA until 1951 when the family moved to Deerfield.

A member of the Deerfield Fair Association, she was Superintendent of the Needlework Building for several years and Assistant Superintendent of the Flower Building. She was a member of both the Deerfield Grange and the Deerfield Garden Club. Having a love for flowers, she enjoyed tending the beautiful flower gardens at their home, which were much admired by family and friends. She moved to Manchester in September of 2000.

Mrs. Burtt was a very thoughtful, caring person with many friends. Her life centered around her family. Family members include two sons, Albert H. Burtt of Greenfield and Russell E. Burtt of Deerfield; two daughters, Sally Luce of Mansfield, MA and Linda Burtt of Manchester; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; one sister, Virginia Edwards of Tyngsboro, MA; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of fifty years, Albert H. Burtt Sr. in 1988 and by their son Charlie in 1977.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 25, 2015 in the chapel at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, Manchester. Burial followed in the Old Deerfield Cemetery.
