Daniel J. "Dan" Courtney, 60, of Manchester, died May 1, 2021 at Elliot Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born in Brockton, MA on March 24, 1961 to James and Arlene (Mooney) Courtney. He lived in Manchester for most of his life.
Dan worked as a driver with AJV Couriers. He enjoyed fishing, playing pool and chess and fantasy football.
He is survived by his wife of seven years, Lisa L. (Gilbert) Courtney; four children, David Smith of Avon, MA, Rachel Smith of Berlin, Dan Courtney, Jr. of Worcester, MA and Ryan Courtney of Manchester; five grandchildren, Kayden, Khloe, Kameron, Brylee and Hunter; two siblings, Andrea Riggs of Ashburn, VA and Brendan Courtney of Arizona; and his first wife, Deborah McNeil
SERVICES: A walk-through wake with masks, social distancing and limited interaction with the family is Tuesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester. A funeral ceremony is private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA.
