Daniel J. Hurley

Daniel J. Hurley, 74, of Bedford died April 30, 2005, at the Elliot hospital. He was born in Sommerville MA, on October 15, 1930, and was the son of Cornelius and Anna (Purtell) Hurley.

Daniel was a retired Chief Warrant Officer of the United States Marine Corps, having served 26 years. After leaving the Marines, he worked for eight years at Sanders Associates. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the DAV, and the Fleet Reserve Association. Daniel loved all sports especially baseball and hockey.

Family members include his wife of 46 years Lorraine(Fraser) Hurley, of Bedford; a daughter, Maribeth Rathburn, of Derry; 3 sons, Daniel Hurley, of Londonderry, Mike Hurley, of Manchester, Stephen Hurley, of Derry; 10 grandchildren; a niece and a nephew.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated, Wednesday May 4, 2005 in St. Elizabeth Seton Church 190 Meetinghouse Rd. Bedford.

Burial was in the NH Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen NH.
