Daniel Patrick McKeown

Daniel Patrick "Danny Mac" McKeown, 40, passed away on February 4, 2022 at his home in Costa Rica after many years of struggling with substance use disorder.

Born in Manchester, NH on June 6, 1981, he was the son of Patrick and Susan (Whalen) McKeown. Daniel attended St. Catherine School, St. Joseph Jr. High, Central High School, Merrimack College and earned an associate's degree from Valencia Community College in Florida.
Daniel enjoyed his time as a paraprofessional at Jewett St. School and was so loved by the students he taught and coached. He was a loyal friend and will be remembered as a kind and generous soul. Daniel always stuck up for the underdog and the less fortunate, even when it got him in trouble. His quick wit and sense of humor will be sorely missed.

In addition to his parents of Manchester, Daniel leaves behind his sisters, Katie Brenneis and husband Chris of Plainville, MA, Eileen McKeown and husband Donny Wargowsky of Port Ludlow, WA, his brother, Matthew McKeown of Ashfield, MA; niece and nephew, Lilianna and Aidan Brenneis and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He also leaves behind his longtime partner, Fatima Nunez of Costa Rica.

Calling hours at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, corner of North St, will be Friday, February 11th from 4 to 7 pm. It has been requested that all in attendance please wear a mask. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:30 am in St. Catherine of Siena Church. The funeral Mass will be livestreamed at https://saintcatherineparishnh.com/
