Darla J. (Stone) Joseph, 70, of Manchester, died August 11, 2017 at Catholic Medical Center after a sudden illness.
She was born in Des Moines, IA on August 11, 1947 to Carnell and Joyce (Oats) Stone. She lived in Palo Alto, CA for many years before moving to New Hampshire where she lived in Bedford and Manchester.
Darla was a school teacher at the Milford Middle School for over 20 years. She enjoyed her career as a teacher and especially enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Nathaniel Joseph in 2009 and two siblings, Jackie DeRoun and Debra Sanders.
The family includes four children, Michael Joseph of California, Gretta B. Joseph of Canton, MA, Jeffrey L. Joseph and his wife, Kim, of Manchester and Derrick S. Joseph and his wife, Joyce, of Weymouth, MA; 21 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; two brothers, Brett Stone and Carnell Stone Jr. both of California; and aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces.
A funeral ceremony was held on Friday, September 1, 2017 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North Street, Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
