David "Fish" Maurice Poisson, 70, of Manchester, died October 30, 2024 after a long illness.
He was born and raised in Manchester, the son of the late Adrien and Collette (Morin) Poisson.
David graduated from Memorial High School class of 1972. He also attended a short period of time at Plymouth State College.
He had work interests in many areas and unusual skills insofar as working at Souhegan Skating Center during the seventies as a zamboni driver and a skate sharpener. David also owned and operated a business in the early eighties called Fish’s Skate and Sport Shop in Bedford, NH. Later, he owned and worked many long hours at Milford Discount, in Milford, NH. Prior to retirement, David was employed at Grenon Trading Co., in Bedford, NH.
“Fish” as he was affectionately known, will be remembered as a funny guy who could crack a joke and make people laugh. When he wasn’t working or fishing, he could be found watching sports on TV. Fish loved music, especially Rock & Roll and Jimi Hendrix! In his younger years, he played the guitar and was a band member.
David is survived by his siblings, three sisters, Claudette Leonard, of Manchester, NH, Constance Cameron, of Orange County, Florida, and Joanne Grenon (Norm) of Laconia NH; step-father, Leopold Grenon of Bedford; step-sisters, Muriel Williams (Doug) of Manchester, NH and Priscilla Grenon of Thetford Mines, Canada; step-brother, Denis Grenon of Bedford, NH; his God-daughter, Jill A. Grenon McMurray of Wyoming; and many nieces and nephews and friends. David was predeceased by both parents and his brother, Norman Poisson who passed in 2009.
