David S. Hall

Hooksett, NH

David S. Hall, 74, of Hooksett, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2024 at Elliot Hospital in Manchester after a period of declining health.

 He was born in Newton, MA and was the son of Edwin and Marilyn (Blodgett) Hall. He grew up in Lexington, MA and graduated from Lexington High School in 1969, where he played football. He then went to Southern Maine Technical Institute to study the trades.

 David was currently president and owner of Northeast Scale Co., Inc which he started in 1985 and had been active ever since.

 He summered on the coast of Maine at his family’s cottage. While there, he was a camper and then camp counselor at Camp Jordan in Ellsworth. During these formative years he took the skills he learned into his adult life. He continued to summer in Owls Head until the present.

 David enjoyed skiing, boating, fishing and vacationing in Sedona, AZ. He especially enjoyed time spent with his family. He will be remembered as a generous, kind and loving family man and friend.

 He was predeceased by his parents and a sister, Nancy McLaughlin.

 He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Janet (Simard) Hall; his son, Matthew Hall and his wife, Eleesha; two step-children, Fayth Soucy Zybert and Adam Soucy and his wife, Megan; a granddaughter, Lillian Hall; a step grandchild, Lauren Vaillancourt; a step great grandson, Brayden Dumont; a sister, Susan Place and many nieces and nephews.

 SERVICES: Calling hours are on Sunday (12/15) from 2 to 4 p.m. followed immediately at 4 p.m. by a funeral ceremony, all at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester. 

 In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army, 121 Cedar St., Manchester, NH 03101.
