David L. "Dave" Tedesco

March 14, 1938 — August 18, 2021

David "Dave" L. Tedesco, 83, of Merrimack passed away peacefully on August 18, 2021 at CMC after a very brief illness.
Dave was born in Newton, MA on March 14, 1938, the first son of the late Lawrence and Frances (Duplessie) Tedesco. He was a 1956 graduate of Boston Trade High School and immediately enrolled in the US Navy where he served 6 years as an Aviation Structural Mechanic on the USS Oriskany, earning the title of Second-Class Petty Officer before being honorably discharged in 1962. He would later own and operate Tedesco Tile Installations while simultaneously working as an industrial plumber for Bruce Technologies, Inc., where he was a dedicated employee of 37 years.
Dave was a hard-working, generous, selfless and devoted family man who was incredibly proud of his children and grandchildren. Many fond memories were made on family vacations to Booth Bay Harbor, ME, where he loved spending time by the ocean. An avid sports fan, when he wasn't coaching his kids' childhood teams or participating in fundraising, he could be found cheering on his favorite New England teams.
Dave is survived by his four children: Renee Clark (Scott) of Millis, MA, Lawrence Tedesco of Marlborough, MA, Michael Tedesco (Amy) of Dalton, MA, Stephen Tedesco (Andrea) of Merrimack, NH and his grandchildren Hailey and Zachary Clark and Gavin and Ryan Tedesco. He was predeceased by both parents and his brother, Carmine Tedesco.
The immediate family is planning a celebration of life and will not be hosting any calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Wounded Warrior Project, https://woundedwarriorproject.org/donate or your local animal shelter.
