David E. Lavoie

He was born in Manchester on August 20, 1938, and was the son of Albanie and Rita(Bouthiette) Lavoie. He was a member of the graduating class of 1956 of Manchester High School Central.

Later he served in the United States Navy from 1957 to 1960. After his honorable discharge he went on to work for 45 years at the United States Post Office, until failing health forced him to retire in April, of 2008.

He enjoyed traveling throughout the world, skating, all New England sports, home gardening, camping, and trips to Foxwoods.

IN HIS LIFE: Family members include; 2 daughters, Linda Lamarre, of WA, Karen Boddy, of Manchester; 3 grandchildren, Tiffany and Tanya Lavoie, Christopher Lamarre; 2 brothers, Kenneth Lavoie, of North Hampton, Donald Lavoie, of Bedford; his companion and business partner, Donald Royer, of Bedford; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; he was predeceased by a brother Richard Lavoie.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at St. Anthony Church. Belmont St. Manchester

Encryptment was in Mt. Calvary mausoleum.
