David E. Littlefield, Sr., 78, of Manchester, died October 31, 2019 at Community Hospice House in Merrimack after a period of declining health.
He was born in Rochester on March 19, 1941 to Edward and Phyllis (Cress) Littlefield. He was raised in Massachusetts then lived in Florida for many years before returning to New Hampshire in 1997.
He served in the U.S. Navy in the early 1960's.
David worked hard throughout his life at many businesses including Pearl Vision Center where he was an optical lab technician. He was a former member of the American Legion, Elks Club, Eagles Club and Lions Club.
He was predeceased by his wife of 39 years, Mary (Ewell) Littlefield in 2001; a daughter, Charlene Whitman and a brother, Gerald Littlefield.
The family includes two children, David E. "DJ" Littlefield, Jr. and wife, Shelly, of Taunton, MA and Mark A. Littlefield and wife, Sasha, of Manchester; grandchildren and great grandchildren; three siblings, Kenneth Littlefield of Deland, FL, Carolyn Josey and husband, Bill, of Northwood and Patricia Manoli and husband, Al, of Belmont; and cousins, nieces and nephews.
A cemetery committal service was held on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen.
