David A. Montplaisir

David A. Montplaisir, 47, of Manchester, died October 30, 2006.

He was born in Franklin, NH on September 11, 1959, the son of J. Henry Montplaisir Jr. and Jeannine (Boudreau) Montplaisir Laurendeau. He was educated in the local school system and was a 1977 graduate of Trinity High School.

David loved photography and sports, especially basketball and following the Red Sox. He coached kids soccer and baseball in Manchester and Hooksett. He was a longtime little league umpire and served one year as umpire and chief at Manchester North Little League.

He was predeceased by his parents as well as his step-father, Alfred N. Laurendeau.

Family members include his daughter, Andrea Greene of Keene; a son, Steven Montplaisir of Manchester; two grandchildren; three brothers, Marc E. Montplaisir Sr. of Dover, Denis Laurendeau of Manchester, and Mark Laurendeau of Manchester; two sisters, Nina Farrell of Manchester, and Suzanne Phaneuf of Litchfield; many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

A memorial gathering was held Saturday November 4, 2006 in Parish of the Transfiguration, 107 Alsace St, corner of Kelley St., Manchester. A memorial Mass of Christian burial followed. Burial was in the family lot at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, 360 State Route 101, Suite 501, Bedford, NH 03110.
