David P. Patryn, 60, of Bedford, died June 18, 2014 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Manchester on August 3, 1953, he was the son of Alec and Shirley (Whipple) Patryn. David graduated from West High School, class of 1971 and Southern New Hampshire University.

He was a lifelong resident of Bedford and recently had also resided in Boston.

David founded his business of 35 years, Dividers Plus, Inc., in Bedford with his brother Ken. He was a businessman of integrity and was most proud of having given employment to many individuals, through thick and thin.

David was a standout baseball player and basketball player throughout his life. He was a coach of CYO basketball, and a friend of AAU and Sweeney Post. David was an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan, having held season tickets for many years. He will be remembered as a master of sports trivia, especially baseball. In recent years, David traveled across the world and to nearly every American League baseball park in the United States.

He was a member of the Pointer Fish and Game Club and a lifelong hunter and fisherman. David also enjoyed boating, landscaping, cooking and jazz music. He was a communicant of St. Hedwig Parish.

He is survived by his wife Diane (Piaseczny) Patryn; a brother, Kenneth and Lorna Patryn; sisters, Caryl Patten and Stephany Kalil and husband Stephen, all of Bedford; nieces and nephews, Alyssa, Michael & Laurette, Nathaniel, Jennifer, Alexander and Adam; several aunts, cousins and close friends.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 in St. Hedwig Church, Beech St.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Henry J. Sweeney Post Baseball Team, c/o Paul Lemire, 251 Maple St, Manchester, NH 03104.
