Deborah H. (Skillings) Champagne, 77, of Auburn, died October 15, 2018 at Catholic Medical Center after a period of declining health.
She was born in Manchester on November 20, 1940 to Lawrence and Edna (Mihoy) Skillings, and a resident of Auburn for many years.
Deborah spent her career working at Amoskeag Bank for 28 years, NHSB Bank in Concord, and later taking over ownership of Champagne Oil Inc. when her husband became ill in 1999.
She was predeceased by her husband, Marcel W. Champagne, on September 17th of this year.
The family includes two daughters, Kimberly M. Crete and husband Donald of Auburn, and Kelley Plante and her husband Dan of Candia; three grandchildren, Julie Crete, Chad Plante and Ashley Plante; a great grandson, Jacob Anderson; two brothers, Lawrence "Joe" Skillings and his wife Athenia "Tina," and Leslie "Pat" Skillings and his wife Bonnie; goddaughter Lyn Gelinas and her husband Stu of Manchester; sister in laws Francoise Dittbenner and her husband Ike of Manchester, Annette and Roland Blanchette of Manchester, and Jeanine Couture of Manchester; and nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at St. Peters Church, 567 Manchester Rd, Auburn, NH. Burial will take place at a later date.
