Debra E. Jolicoeur

   Debra Elyse Jolicoeur, 68, of Manchester, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2022 at Granite VNA Hospice House in Concord after a brief illness.

   She was born in Manchester on June 19, 1954 to Roland J. Jolicoeur and Elinor “Peg” (Grant) Jolicoeur.

   Deb graduated from Central High School in 1972.  Knowing she always wanted to work with animals she did an apprenticeship with Gail Fisher, then opened a small grooming shop of her own, Deb’s Pet Shop, on Silver Street in Manchester.

  Around 1982, she met Sam Daghir after bringing her car into his automotive repair shop.  It wasn’t until years later that they knew they wanted to spend their lives together.

   In 1986 she gave birth to her son, Derek.  Debbie loved being a mother and considered it her greatest accomplishment.  Derek always brought a smile to her face with his quick wit.  Derek grew up with Sam’s son, Ross, and went on day trips to the lake where they enjoyed tubing and water skiing.

   Deb and Sam had a work relationship as well.  They shared a space and customers at the same location on Myrtle Street in Manchester.

   She enjoyed going to yard sales, arts and crafts, needlepoint and weekends away in their motor home.  She also loved her beloved French bulldogs, Tesla and Sabrina.  Her pets always brought her a lot of joy.

   She was predeceased by her parents.

   Deb is survived by her husband, Samy Daghir of Manchester; her son, Derek Kirmes of Concord; her step-son, Samy Ross Daghir of Manchester and four siblings, Beth Jolicoeur of Manchester, whom she shared a very close relationship with until her passing, Karen Jolicoeur of Manchester, Joann Frazier of Tucson, AZ and Gary Jolicoeur of Ft. Myers, FL.

   Deb’s family will celebrate her life at a reception that will take place at the Puritan Backroom Restaurant in the Pappas Room, 245 Hooksett Rd., Manchester on Wednesday August 31, 2022 from 5 to 8 p.m.

   Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, Manchester is assisting the family with arrangements.
