Denis Thompson Hall, 82, of Hooksett died January 18, 2010 with his daughter by his side, following a battle with lung cancer.
He was born on April 8, 1927 in Hull, England to Walter and Vera (Thompson) Hall.
He served in the Royal Air Force before emigrating to Canada in 1950, and then to the United States in 1962. He worked as a mechanical engineer in the air craft industry in England, Canada and the United States, retiring from Sikorsky Aircraft in Connecticut in 1987.
Denis was an avid reader and was a passionate volunteer at the Hooksett Public Library since moving to New Hampshire in 2006.
He was predeceased by his wife of 45 years, Eileen (Jacobs) Hall in 1995.
IN HIS LIFE: Family members include his daughter, Pamela Hall Goucher of Manchester; two grandsons, Graham Thompson Goucher and Cole Jacob Goucher both of Manchester; a loving former son in law, Gregory R. Goucher of Manchester; one brother, Alan V. Hall and his wife, June, of London, England; a very special sister in law, Jean (Jacobs) Walker and her husband, George, of Hull, England; and many nieces, nephews and cousins all of England.
SERVICES: There are no calling hours. A memorial gathering will be held in March.
