Born in Rock Forrest, Canada on June 10, 1942, he was the son of George H. and Onia (Perrault) Leroux. He attended school in Canada and had been a resident of the area since 1969.
Prior to retirement, Denis had been employed in the maintenance department of Merrimack High School for many years. Previously, he had been employed as a roofer with Skyline Roofing Company and had also worked for the town of Pembroke.
Denis enjoyed hunting, fishing, small engine repair and causing a little trouble. He also was a longtime member of the Londonderry Fish & Game Club. Above all else, he will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Family members include his wife of 52 years, Micheline (Lafrance) Leroux of Pembroke; his daughter, Chantal Levasseur and her husband Denis of Pembroke; two granddaughters, Sarah Fiscus and husband Tyler of Pembroke and Jessica Levasseur of Pembroke; one great-grandson, Jameson Fiscus of Pembroke; two sisters, Monique Charron and Francine Leroux, both of Sherbrooke, Canada; three brothers, Andre Leroux and wife Paulette of Sherbrooke, Claude Leroux of Sherbrooke, and Ghislain Leroux and wife Danielle Cote of Sherbrooke; many nephews, nieces and cousins.
A service of remembrance took place on Sunday, October 6, 2013 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester with the retired Rev. George Desjardins officiating.
