Denise J. Duval-Ray, 61, of Derry, died September 19, 2016 at her home after a sudden illness.
She was born in Manchester on December 26, 1954 to George and Doris (Desfosses) Duval. She graduated from West High School in 1973 and lived in Manchester and Derry for most of her life.
She worked as a corrections officer at the Valley Street Jail in Manchester and as a security guard at the West Manchester Library.
Denise had a strong belief in her faith and had been a member of the Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, TX. She loved children and enjoyed Christian music, laughter, gardening, playing cards and time spent with her family and friends.
She was predeceased by her father.
The family includes her husband of 12 years, Robert C. Ray of Derry; two step children, Chad A. Ray and Robyn L. Ray both of Elkart, IN; her mother of Manchester; five siblings, Donald Duval of Goffstown, Ceal White and her husband, Dennis, of Manchester, George R. Duval and his wife, Laura, of Sanford, NC, David Duval and his wife, Carla, of Manchester and John Duval and his wife, Barbara, of California; one aunt and cousins, nieces and nephews.
A funeral ceremony was held on Friday, September 23, 2016 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester. Private burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Manchester.
