Denise A. Tremblay

Denise A. Tremblay, 67, of Manchester, died May 30, 2005 after a brief illness.

She was born in Manchester, September 14, 1937, and was the daughter of Lucien J. and Irene B. (Leclerc) Allyson. She was a lifelong resident of Manchester.

Mrs. Tremblay courageously battled lung cancer, made brave choices, and maintained a sense of hope and optimism throughout her illness. She received loving and personal care from the professional staff at Hanover Hill Health Care Center where she made many friends while caring for her parents.

For over a decade she was a teacher and lecturer of biology and chemistry at Notre Dame College in Manchester. In later years she worked at the Currier Gallery of Art. She was a caregiver for elderly family members and neighbors. Mrs. Tremblay was an avid birdwatcher and volunteered with the Audubon Society of NH. She was always interested in the flora and fauna of New Hampshire. Denise loved to read and was very accomplished in the culinary arts.

She was predeceased by her husband, Paul A. Tremblay in 1992.

She is survived by her son, Paul L. Tremblay of Manchester; her daughter, Michele L. Tremblay of Boscawen; her sister, Liane A. Crawford of Boston; two nephews, Derick and Dylan Crawford of Boston; a niece, Allyson Crawford of New York; many nieces and nephews through her marriage to Paul A. Tremblay; and her companion, George V. Wight of Manchester.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Saturday June 4, 2005 at St. Peter's Church in Auburn. Burial followed in St. Augustin Cemetery in Manchester.
