Dennis P. Stavrou

Dennis P. Stavrou, 66, of Hooksett, died April 2, 2017 at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Manchester on June 14, 1950, he was the son of the late Charles Stavrou and Pauline (Proulx) Dupont. He attended both Manchester Central and Memorial High Schools. Dennis served in the US Army for four years before being honorably discharged in 1973. He was owner and operator of Property Adjuster Associates, LLC for over 20 years.

Dennis was well known in the Queen City, having coached Pony League baseball for over 20 years. He enjoyed helping young athletes not only on how to play the game but how to make good life decisions. He dedicated much of his life and energy to running his business, but time spent with his wife Donna shopping on Saturday's, and eating out was his favorite pastime. He also had a passion for music, especially the Beatles, and was always the one to provide the entertainment for special occasions. Dennis also enjoyed decorating and remodeling the family home and spending time in his many rocking chairs. He was a strong willed man who didn't sugar coat things. He would tell it like it is. Above all, Dennis will be remembered as a loving husband, father and brother.

Family includes his beloved wife of 40 years, Donna M. (Bouchard) Stavrou; two daughters, Christine A. Kingsbury and husband Kevin Kingsbury Jr. of Pittsfield, and Caryann M. Fennelly of Manchester; and one brother Michael Stavrou and wife Marthe of Auburn as well as his nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by both of his parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday, April 7, 2017 at St. Peter Church, 567 Manchester Rd, Auburn . Burial followed in NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen.
