Dexter S. Burrell

Dexter S. Burrell, 78, of Manchester died March, 16, 2011 after a long battle with lung cancer.

He was born in Berwick, ME on January 26, 1933 to Merton E. and Susie B. (Ricker) Burrell. He lived in the Dover area before moving to Manchester.

He graduated from Berwick High School then entered the US Army in July 1957.

He was the western US regional manager for Chicago Pneumatic Tool Corporation for over 20 years until becoming owner of ADM Tool Service from 1985 to 2003.

Dexter enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his friends in the candlepin bowling league.

He was a member of the Elks Club.

IN HIS LIFE: Family members include his beloved wife of 29 years, Lila "Lee" C. (Hoops) Burrell, whom he asked to dance one evening and had been together with ever since; Three daughters, Candace Burrell and her husband David Lessard, of Farmington, Pamela Sturtevant and her husband Rick, of East Bridgewater, MA; Celine Austin and her husband James of Rochester; a stepdaughter, Karen Steele of Jacksonville FL; a stepson Michael Uraine of Nashua; several grandchildren, two sisters, Barbara Chandler of Peabody, MA and S. Natalie Coffin of Berwick, ME; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by a brother, Merton Erwin.

A Mass of Christian Burial took place on Saturday, March 19, 2011 in St. Catherine of Siena Parish, 225 Hemlock St., corner of Webster Street. Burial with full military honors was held on Monday, March 21, 2011 at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen.
