Diane S. Tessier

Diane S. Tessier, after a period of declining health, quietly passed away at her home on Saturday April 6 with her husband by her side. She was 76.

Born in Manchester on May 27, 1947, Diane was the daughter of the late Eugene and Emma (Bourgeois) Courteau. She was raised and educated in the Queen City and graduated from Central High School in 1965. She worked for Infantine Insurance, Inc. for 25 years before retiring in 2007.

Diane enjoyed golfing, cooking, and gardening. She also enjoyed spending winters in Florida with her husband Marc. Diane had a passion for music. She loved listening to classic songs from the American Songbook, especially those sung by Tony Bennett, Ella Fitzgerald, and Frank Sinatra. But nothing meant more to Diane than being with her family and sharing time with her friends at the Wellness Center in Laconia NH. And we shouldn’t forget about her cats; Cuddles, Snuggle, Peanut, Sophie, and Winky.  Above all else, Diane will be remembered as a loving wife, sister, aunt, and friend. Those who knew her best will always think of her kindness and warmth. She brought smiles to everyone around her.  

Family members include her beloved husband of 42 years, Marc J. Tessier of Manchester; one brother Eugene Courteau and his wife Linda from Cape Cod; her godchild, Deborah Courteau, and numerous cousins. She was predeceased by both parents and one brother - Donald Courteau who passed away in 1963.

Services:  Calling hours are from 4pm to 6pm on Wednesday at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North St., Manchester, NH 03103.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am on Thursday at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 225 Hemlock St., corner of Webster St., Manchester, NH 03104.  Committal Prayers to follow in St. Augustin Cemetery, Brown Ave., Manchester, NH.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to:  Lakes Region VNA Hospice, 186 Waukewan St., Meredith, NH 03253.  To leave a message of condolence, please go to www.lambertfuneralhome.com.
