Allenstown, NH

Dianne L. (Lacroix) Biron, 82, of Allenstown, formerly of Manchester, passed away at home on Monday, September 9, 2024, after a 7 year long battle with Alzheimer’s, with her loving husband and family by her side.

Dianne was born in Manchester on September 19, 1941, the oldest child of the late Marcel and Lucille (Denault) Lacroix. She was a graduate of West High School, Class of 1959. After graduation she worked at New England Telephone & Telegraph then went on to work at Foster Grant as a secretary for the general manager. She then went to work at Sears Roebuck on Elm Street in Manchester as a switchboard operator and later at their location at the Mall of NH where she began working in the Human Resource Department. She retired from Sears after working 36 years.

Dianne met the love of her life, Benny, on a blind date, and the two were inseparable ever since. They celebrated their 62nd Wedding Anniversary on August 25, 2024. They enjoyed traveling the world together to places including, Aruba, Cancun, Mexico, Ireland, Paris, Hawaii, Punta Cana, Venezuela, Long Boat Key, FL, Bradenton, FL, California, Las Vegas, New Orleans, Nashville, Tennessee, Atlantic City, St. Maarten, St Thomas Virgin Islands and on many cruises.

She also enjoyed reading, playing games with her children, grandchildren and friends, walks on the beach and visits to Foxwoods. Most importantly the time Dianne spent with her family brought her great happiness and memories. Prior to her diagnosis, Dianne was known for her unbelievable memory. The many stories she shared will live on for a lifetime.

She was a devoted catholic and member of St Joseph Cathedral in Manchester. Her love and devotion to her family was beyond words. Together, she and Benny demonstrated the true meaning of love and how it should be done.

Dianne was an exceptional mother, an exceptional grandmother and great grandmother. Her family was her pride and joy! As she would say “not an ugly one in the bunch.” Above all else, she will be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, mother-in-law, sister and friend. She will be greatly missed and forever cherished by her family and all who knew her.

Dianne is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 62 years, Benoit E. Biron; her two daughters, Donna Averell and Michelle A. Girard and her husband, Michael N. Girard, of Pembroke, six grandchildren, Ryan Girard and his wife, Macie, Benjamin Averell, both of Allenstown, Kristin Averell of Manchester, Sarah Girard of Arlington, VA, Tyler Girard of Arlington, VA and Drake Biron of Candia; two great grandchildren, Ryleigh and Raelyn Girard, both of Allenstown; three sisters, Doloras Beaudoin and her husband, Omer, of Manchester, Phyllis Demers of Goffstown and Dee Santoso and her husband, Bambang, of Manchester; and many nieces and nephews.
