Sadly the family of Dino E. Donati mourned the passing of their beloved patriarch. Dino E. Donati, 92, of Manchester, New Hampshire and Ogunquit, Maine died on October 27, 2016 in York, Maine after a brief illness, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Manchester on October 25, 1924, he was the son of Louis and Matilda (Ricci) Donati. He was a graduate of St. Joseph Elementary and St. Joseph High School in Manchester. As a very young man, he worked at Pine Island Amusement Park in Manchester, an entertainment complex co-owned by his father. Mr. Donati was a decorated veteran of World War II, who served in the 82nd Seabee Battalion of the United States Navy in the South Pacific. Following the war, Mr. Donati co-founded and became President of Granite State Music Company, a company he owned for more than 60 years along with his two sons, Dino L and David F. He was a well-respected honest businessman in the amusement industry and a loving and caring family man. Although a sports fan of the New England sports teams, he was also a lifelong diehard fan of his New York Yankees.

Mr. Donati is survived by his wife of 70 years, Theresa (Sullivan). His son Dino L and his wife Krystyna of Manchester, NH, son David F and his wife Christine of Bedford, NH, daughter Donna Clougherty and her husband Kevin of Manchester, NH, and daughter Dawn Comito and her husband Robert of Portsmouth, NH also survive him. Son Daniel of Carefree, Arizona, predeceased him. He is also survived by eight grandchildren: Dino R Donati and his wife Corleigh of Beverly, Massachusetts; Adam Donati and his wife Courtney of Lincoln, NH; Ryan Clougherty and his wife Kristina Betts of Chicago, Illinois; Brendan Clougherty of Los Angeles, California; Anthony Comito of Manchester, NH; Daniella Comito of Maynard, Massachusetts; Darrell Donati and his wife Carla of Revere, Massachusetts; and Angela Donati of Bradford, Massachusetts. Great- grandchildren include; Cameron Donati of Beverly, Massachusetts, Addison, Asher, and Beckett Donati of Lincoln, New Hampshire.

The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at York Hospital for their care and compassion. Donations may be made in his memory to York Hospital, York, Maine.

A private memorial Mass for close friends and relatives will be held at St. Joseph Cathedral Chapel in Manchester, New Hampshire at the convenience of the family.
