Dixie (Wood) Malatras, 77, of Manchester died November 9, 2017 surrounded by her loving family after a lengthy illness.
Born in Dallas, TX on September 6, 1940, she was the daughter of Vasco and Frances (Bull) Wood.
Prior to retirement, she had been employed by New England Telephone for over 34 years.
Dixie enjoyed shopping with friends, sharing meals and spending time with those she loved. Holidays were her favorite time of the year.
Above all else, she will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend who cherished time spent with family.
The family would like to thank the staff at Bel-Air Nursing Home for the wonderful care and compassion they showed both Dixie and her family during the time spent there.
She was predeceased by her husband Nicholas Malatras in 1997.
Family members include her children, Nicki Renaud and husband Mark of Goffstown, Phillip Malatras and wife Marie of Laguna Hills, CA; grandchildren, Alyssa and Garret Chani, Kyle and Joel Barnard.
A funeral service was held on Monday, November 13, 2017 in the chapel of Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, corner of North St, Manchester. Burial followed in Pine Grove Cemetery.
