Dominic R. DeLuca, 81, of Manchester, died September 3, 2022 at Hillsborough County Nursing Home in Goffstown after a brief illness.
He was born in Manchester on March 7, 1941 to Joseph and Rose (Lesnyk) DeLuca. He graduated from Central High School, served in the U.S. Army and was a lifelong resident of Manchester.
Dominic worked for Manchester Sand & Gravel and Supervac. He then owned and operated DeLuca Construction Company and specialized in the installation of terrazzo floor tiles and stone walls. He also did snowplowing for the State of New Hampshire.
He loved his dog and other animals and had volunteered at the Animal Rescue League. He enjoyed dancing, maintaining his cars and trucks and working in the yard with his daughter. He especially loved his wife and family and enjoyed day trips to the White Mountains and Mohegan Sun, time spent at Cold Springs Resort in Ashland and country music.
He was predeceased by his wife, Colleen T. (Kendrigan) DeLuca in 2006.
Dominic is survived by two children, Colleen T. DeLuca, Jr. and her husband, Raymond Johnson, of Weare and Dominic R. DeLuca, Jr. of Manchester; a cousin, Janet Nolin of Ocala, FL and nieces and nephews.
SERVICES: Calling hours are Friday (9/9) from 10 a.m. to noon, followed immediately at noon by a funeral ceremony, all at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester. Committal prayers will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, 448 Donald St., Bedford.
