Donald L. Bourgeois, 70, of Manchester, died February 20 2004, at his home after a lengthy battle with leukemia.
He was born in Manchester on November 1, 1933, and was the son of Henry and Yvette(Drolet) Bourgeois.
Donald was a veteran of the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Soon after he began work for the Sikorsky aircraft of Stratford CN. Once back in Manchester he open Don's plumbing, heating and electrical, which he operated for over 40 years.
He was a member of the League of One Thousand Men of the Precious Blood, and a member of Post 79.
Donald was a volunteer treasurer for Boy Scout Troop 290 of St. Pius X Church. He loved to travel, and snow ski with his family. He enjoyed all animals, especially birds. His favorite was the cardinal. He was a precision-gifted tradesman, who will be missed by all.
Family members include his wife of 52 years, Lorraine (Ledoux) Bourgeois, of Manchester; 2 daughters, Diane Boissy of Hooksett, and Suzanne Seavey, of Mesa AZ; 3 sons, Lionel Bourgeois of Hooksett, Denis Bourgeois of Goffstown, and Ronald Bourgeois, of Bedford; 11 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren; a brother, Henry Bourgeois, of Manchester, and a sister, Yvette Corriveau; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated, Thursday February 26, 2004 in St Hedwig Church, Beech and Orange St. Manchester.
Memorial donations may be made to the Precious Blood Monastery, 700 Bridge St., Manchester.
