Donald F. Donovan

March 23, 1934 — August 13, 2018

Donald F. Donovan, 84, of Bedford, NH died August 13, 2018 at his residence after a sudden illness.
Born in North Andover, MA on March 23, 1934, he was the son of Daniel G. and Ethel (Juhr) Donovan. He attended St. Patrick Grammar School and graduated from Central Catholic High School in Lawrence. He had been a resident of the Bedford, NH area for the past 60 years.
Donald had been the owner and operator of Donovan Spring and Donovan Equipment Companies located in Londonderry, NH. Previously the companies had operated in Manchester, NH.
With passion and hard work, he shaped his business. Under his guiding hand, it is now the leading operation in all of New England. He never stopped working, whether it was on his business, building his friendships, or showing his love to his family. A star athlete his whole life, Don was a passionate golfer who surprised many an opponent with his booming drives and ability to read a green. He was a member of the Manchester Country Club as well as Desert Mountain Country Club and Gainey Ranch in Scottsdale, AZ. Everywhere he went, he made friends and left smiles. With humor and compassion, he quietly helped many. He never forgot his humble roots and gave of himself readily to those who had not had his good fortune in life.
Above all else, he will be remembered as a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother, and employer who will be greatly missed.
"Fiadfaidh se sui ar dheis De". ("May he sit at the right hand of God").
