Donald A. Girard, 67, of Manchester, died at his residence surrounded by family and friends, May 1, 2003, after a brief battle with cancer.
Born on October 25, 1935 he was the son of Adrien and Leontine (Biron) Girard.
Mr. Girard was the owner of the former Pioneer Communications Service. An enthusiastic classic car collector, he became part owner of the North East Kustom Kreations of Manchester.
In 1963 he became a member of the Goffstown Fire Department rising to the rank of Deputy Chief. He also served on the Board of Fire Wardens in the Town of Goffstown. The first stop of his day was always a coffee at Station 19 in Pinardville.
He was a member of St. Lawrence Parish in Goffstown, and served as an Eucharistic Minister. Mr. Girard was a member of the League of One Thousand Men of the Precious Blood.
Family members include his wife of 49 years, Violette (Brulotte) Girard of Manchester, two daughters, Elaine Jubinville of Goffstown, and Janice Trippiedi of Manchester ; a son, Dennis Girard of Goffstown; 6 grandchildren; 3 sisters, Jeannine Laroche of Goffstown, Pauline Lambert of Manchester, Therese Broyer of Manchester; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr.Girard was predeceased by an infant daughter Diane and an infant son, Ronald.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday May 6, 2003 in St. Lawrence Church, 51 Main St., Goffstown, NH.
Burial was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd. Manchester.
