Donald R. Chaput, 80, of Weare died June 29, 2017 at Massachusetts General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Manchester on July 19, 1936, he was the son of Leopold and Beatrice (Blais) Chaput. He was educated in Manchester and worked for 30 years as a heavy equipment for Manchester Highway Dept. before retiring in 1982.
Donald enjoyed hunting, fishing and football. Above all, he will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother.
Family includes his beloved wife of 60 years, Gloria R. (Bissonnette) Chaput; three sons, Donald N. Chaput and wife Cathy of Goffstown, Daniel A. Chaput and his wife Clodagh of Milford, and David H. Chaput of Manchester; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two sister, Lorraine Carey of Merrimack, and Claudette Chauvette of FL; one brother, Richard Chaput and wife Carol of Weare; and many nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Diane Parker; his grandson Jeffrey Chaput; three sisters, Cecile Lampron, Pauline St. Onge and Annette Chauvette; and brother, Leo Chaput.
There are no calling hours. Burial took place on Friday, July 14, 2017 in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
