He was born in Providence, RI on April 3, 1935 to Francis and Ann (Costigan) Rheaume.
He served in the National Guard in Rhode Island for many years, then lived many years in Laconia and Raymond.
Donald was an educator for many years. He taught at Mt. Pleasant High School in East Providence, RI and Dover-Sherborn High School in Dover, MA. He also taught and was an assistant principal in the Farmington School District and was a professor of public speaking at Southern New Hampshire University.
He was an avid and lifelong professional musician who wrote and composed music. He was also a mentor, coach and an automotive enthusiast.
The family includes his wife of 45 years, Marjorie F. (Armington) Rheaume of Raymond; three children, Donna Furgal and her husband, Ray, of Auburn, Kimberly Warren and her husband, Gary, of Epsom and Daniel Rheaume and his wife, Susan, of Naperville, IL; seven grandchildren, Matthew, Adam and Lauren Furgal, Michael and Lindsay St. Jacques, and Carson and Hunter Rheaume.
