Donald J. Yergeau, 68, of Bedford, NH passed away on December 9th, 2025.
He was born in Haverhill, MA on June 15, 1957. He was raised by his parents, Edward and Germaine (Boisvert) Yergeau, in Manchester, NH.
Don earned his high school diploma from Central High School in Manchester. He met his wife, Simone, while working at New Hampshire Insurance.
Don loved sports, partaking in tennis, bowling, and pickleball. He was a pickleball ambassador and taught many people how to play the game. He played in games and tournaments in New Hampshire, Michigan, and Ohio, where he proudly took home many trophies.
Don was a collector and frequented the flea markets in Hollis and Londonderry. Many knew him as Beanie Don, a reference to the years in which he traded Beanie Babies. Throughout his life, he maintained his French language skills, often serving as an informal translator for his family members and his friends from church. He loved to feed people, and he frequently grilled outdoors in the winter—often without a coat!
In his last years, Don resided at the Ridgewood Center in Bedford. He will be remembered for his wry sense of humor and his penchant for quizzing people about 70s music and TV shows.
Don is survived by his wife of 42 years Simone H. Yergeau; his 3 children, M. Remi Yergeau of Ottawa, Ontario, and Stephanie S. Yergeau and Emilie J. Snow, both of Manchester; and his sister Paulette and her husband Don Slovenkai of New Ipswich. He is also survived by his many cousins, as well as his nieces, nephew, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.
He is predeceased by both his parents.
