Doris B. (Davis) Roy, 82, of Manchester, died September 29, 2023 at Elliot Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born in Mansonville, Quebec, Canada on November 30, 1940 to Gerald and Marion (Draper) Davis. She lived in Manchester for many years.
Doris worked as a nursing assistant for the VNA at Elliot Hospital for 20 years. She loved animals and enjoyed baking, traveling, ceramics and country music. She was known to make the best apple pies.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 57 years, Omer J. “Curly” Roy in 2019 and seven siblings, Emily Loya, Irvin Davis, Gardner Davis, Shirley Cote, Bea Roseberry, Geraldine Davis and June MacLellan.
Doris is survived by three children, Wade A. Roy and his wife, Tami, of Litchfield and Shane M. Roy and his wife, Erica, and Melissa M. Taber and her husband, Kevin, all of Manchester; two grandchildren, Amanda K. Roy of Manchester and Caitlin M. Roy of Berlin; a great granddaughter, Liana Dore of Berlin; four siblings, Iris Cote of Jay, VT, Orval Davis of Rutland, VT, Pansay Bates of Rindge and Scott Davis of Winchenden, MA; and many nieces and nephews
SERVICES: Calling hours are Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. followed immediately at 6 p.m. by a funeral ceremony, all at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester.
